Ministry Trainees

Charlie married Bethany just before moving to Reading and joining Carey, having met while serving in a kids group at their previous church.

Charlie finished his A Levels 1.5 years ago in Maths and Engineering, but decided not to go to university as he felt a calling to ministry. He took up a role at Grace Community Church Kempston as an apprentice, and did the Crosslands Basecamp course last year.

Charlie loves God, music, sports (especially F1), cooking, and of course Bethany. Both of them are excited for the next year as they get stuck into serving at a new church and growing in the Lord as they do so!

My name is Josias. I graduated from the University of Reading in summer 2026, where I studied History for three years. I am looking forward to serving the Lord here at Carey this year, and being involved in various different ministries. I had the blessing and privilege of going on a short term mission trip to Kyrgystan and Uzbekistan over the summer. This was a wonderful experience and it was great to be part of the team out there and witness God use us in amazing ways.

I was also baptised this summer and am excited to study the Word more deeply this year and strengthen my relationship with God even further.

I love running,hiking, reading and spending time with friends.
