Jungle Explorers: 18 months – preschool/school age

Jungle Explorers is the name given to our parent/carers and children’s group for those aged 18 months to preschool/school age.

We provide a friendly, safe environment with a wide range of toys, equipment and activities.

In each session we start with activities in different zones which children will be free to move between. There is also a chillout area/zone for those who need quieter activities.

After a while of playing, everyone moves to a smaller hall for drinks and snacks. After 10-15 minutes, we have a song time with our in-house musician Nigel and children are free to use instruments or other sensory aids which are provided. We finish at 11:30am with our fabulous Goodbye Song!

When and Where

We meet from 10 to 11:30am on Friday mornings during school term time, in the Carey Centre.

Places need to be booked a term at a time. So the next term is Summer (May – July 2025).

Jungle Explorers has proved very popular so parents/carers and their children will only be able to attend on alternate weeks. This will in effect create two groups, A and B.

You may either book for Group A OR Group B. Due to limited spaces, please do not book for both groups.

Bookings are per family/group/childminder.

You will not be able to attend both groups but will be able to pick which group you want to attend at the time of booking online until that group is fully booked. Once we have reached our limit for a group, we cannot offer further places. Please try booking for the other group if one is full.

The cost per session of Jungle Explorers is £2 per family and all payment is taken via card machine on arrival. Please note we DO NOT take cash.

Following our sessions, The Oasis is open from 11:30am and offers children’s lunches and other light lunches. The staff there would love to see you!
