Arrangements for our services have changed, please read on, and we look forward to worshipping with you!
The booking system has finished (for now and hopefully forever….hooray!) This means you can just come to a service, no need to tell us! We will no longer cap the numbers in the services and the majority of the chapel will have no social distancing in the seating areas. Children will go straight to creche and Sunday School to maximise available seating.
However, if you are feeling a little worried about this and would like to sit somewhere in the chapel with a bit more space in the morning service, then we are reserving 25 or so seats under the galleries downstairs for people to book on a first come first served basis. These seats will maintain a distance of one metre between bubbles. If you’d like one or more of these seats, please email us on firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know. You should do this BY 10am ON THE FRIDAY preceding the relevant Sunday service. We’ll then let you know if you’ve got a seat or not.
Please note that we’ve made the reluctant decision to ask attendees to continue to wear a mask during the morning services for now. We know that this is not going to be all that some of you had hoped, but with rising cases of infection and the threat of a spike in the next few weeks, and continuing hospitalisations and deaths, we feel the need to continue to be cautious. Thank you for bearing with us.
We will maintain social distancing of 1 metre in our evening services throughout the chapel for the next few weeks. Again there is no need to book, and masks will be optional. Stewards will continue to wear masks when welcoming people.
In all of our services and events we will continue to ensure that indoor areas are well ventilated, check for symptoms of COVID and ask all attendees to use the hand sanitiser. We will also continue to clean ‘high-touch’ areas (such as door handles and bannisters etc) during the service.
