Being a student is both exciting and daunting. As a church, we have had involvement with students over many years and we want to be able to provide support, encouragement, care and counsel during your years as a student. We encourage students to be actively involved in the Christian Union and a local church.
Lunches & One-to-Ones
At the beginning of the autumn term, we host a Student Welcome after the morning service. We serve refreshments and this is an opportunity for you to get together with other students and to meet church members who are involved in student ministry. We organise student lunches 2 or 3 times a term and occasionally will arrange talks/seminars on topics of particular relevance to students. Our student ministry is for undergraduate and postgraduate students, international students, and students on a year out or industry placement.
We can arrange for you to have lunch with people in the church on a Sunday and we offer one-to-one discipleship, for those who want it, with an older Christian to study the Bible or and/to simply to talk and pray together.
We offer associate membership to any Christian students who are members of their home church, but who would like to be more actively involved in serving at Carey during their time as a student.
We can arrange transport for you to and from Carey especially in the early weeks of the autumn term when you are finding your way around. If you would like more details please contact Caroline on 07800 586162.
