We are a group of Carey members and university students that meets regularly during university term time. Anyone (either undergraduate or postgraduate) who is studying in Reading can come along.
We meet up at least once a month for a meal together, either a breakfast or a lunch on a Sunday. Sometimes after lunch we will have a Bible study and prayer time, or we invite a speaker to come and chat to us, for example about their missionary experiences. This is followed by games and a chat, and then we have tea together before heading off to the evening service.
We also arrange an away day in the summer term. This is an opportunity to get away from Reading and enjoy Bible study and teaching together.
The student group is more than just a meeting. We pray for each another regularly and keep in touch outside term time. We will arrange for you to have lunch with a family from Carey every week, if you wish to. We also offer one to one discipleship for anyone who wants to meet with an older Christian to study the Bible and pray. Many have benefited from this in the past.
